To introduce globally mobile executives to the UK property market

Longview Advisors were joined this evening by members of the American Women’s Club of London (AWC) to discuss ‘Prime properties, smart strategies,’ an overview of the specifics of the UK property market and what US-connected clients can expect when seeking a home to buy or rent.

Many Americans have experience of buying or renting property. Yet, in the UK, the terminology and traditions are just different enough to cause confusion.

To help international executives and their families navigate this unique market, Longview have collaborated with AWC to develop a series of in-person events for their members.

Brant Long and Gulnara Long introduced the seven key characteristics of the UK property market and how they differ from what people in the US are used to. To provide a portrait of buying in the Cotswolds, Longview invited Johannes Hodson of JM Chase Property Search to share insights into an area that is increasingly popular with many US clients. A lively discussion included many questions about costs and ownership structures for establishing a home in the city and the country.
